Tilapia Prices Stably Rise in All Chinese Origin of Places in the End of August?

It was report that ,In late August in Hainan province, tilapia price for 500g above size was 4.1~4.5 yuan/500g, 0.1~0.2 yuan/500g up month by month; tilaia price for 500g below size was 3.6~3.7 yuan/500g, 0.1~0.2 yuan/500g up month by month. In west Guangdong province, tilapia price for 500g above is 4.4 yuan/500g, 0.1 yuan/500g up month by month; 500g below size was 3.4~3.6 yuan/500g, 0.1~0.3yuan/500g up month by month. In Zhujiang River Delta, 500g below size was 3.2 yuan/500g, 0.1yuan/500g up month by month.

It’s known that, tilapia prices in all the production regions rised stably in the end of August. At present, tilapia catches in Zhujiang River Delta is relatively small because some of the fish was sold to Hubei province where heavy rains caused sharp drop of production, and, therefore, price went up in Zhujiang River Delta as the supply went tight.

But seems the prices rise not including Fujian Province, according to our information, the price in Fujian is low, but not sure how long the situation will last .

Relatively big size fish in Hainan was in small quantity. The catches were low as the fishing was relatively difficult because of hot weather. Demand went high in west Guangdong. Catches were relatively stable and price rose slightly. Industry insiders expected the price would go stable and rise slowly in the following days. More holidays would come in September in America, and it’s expected that orders would also go up, which would push volume of fish stock up accordingly.
